Shopping, food, breweries, all along the river! There is so much to explore in downtown Estes Park. Keep an eye out for wildlife roaming the streets! There is a free trolley that loops through town in the summer that connects with other routes like mentioned on our "Travel" page.
One of the most beautiful National Parks in the entire country! Timed Entry Permits are required from May 23rd-on of each year. Guests will need to reserve entry slots into RMNP either a month in advance when permits open or get on the night before online if they intend on accessing the park between 9am-2pm. After 2pm they will only need a park pass, no timed entry needed. Bear Lake Road is the most popular road to visit in RMNP and has a special timed entry permit needed daily after May 23rd from 5am-6pm. Most of the major hikes/trails are off of this road. Tip: locals find that it’s much easier to use the RMNP hiker shuttle instead of trying to drive through this entrance. Trail Ridge Road most likely will not be open in late May next year, but if we have an early snow melt, this opens in the summer as an access point up and over the continental divide to Grand Lake. The visitors center at the top sits at approximately 12,000 feet where snow sits until late into July.
1,000 feet to the top of Prospect Mountain in a cable car. A very unique experience to the area. Reserve a slot ahead of time online.
The Stanley Hotel is an iconic landmark famous for its charm and history. Most importantly, it is the hotel that inspired the 1980 horror film based on Stephen King's novel, The Shining. Tour the property, grab a bite to eat, and maybe see something haunted. Here's Johnny!
User controlled alpine slide on the east side of town. The coaster speeds up to 27 mph going downhill on 2,000 feet of track with amazing views!
A 3.5-mile loop around the main lake. Great wildlife, fishing, boating, bike path, and other places to stop and take in the mountains. You can rent fishing gear, bikes, and other outdoor equipment next door to the Lake Estes Marina at the Estes Park Mountain Shop.
