Pamela and Derek met on our first day of college at UCI in 2014, moving into the same dorm and scouting out the best boba spots. They quickly became close friends and kept each other sane through some major developments in their lives. A year later, they started dating and realized early on that they shared something special. They were each others' cheerleaders and grew together over the next few years, dating for a total of six years before moving on to the next stage of their relationship.

After months of planning, Derek proposed to Pamela at the top of Snoqualmie Falls outside of Seattle. He held onto the engagement ring for four months and secretly planned the proposal around a vacation in Seattle. On the last night of the trip, Derek switched their hotel to a lodge at Snoqualmie Falls. When they arrived, Derek proposed and the two spent the night at the top of the waterfall.

Since the engagement, Pamela and Derek have passed some major milestones. They adopted two cats (Aichi and Stella), and as of December 2022, they moved into their first home together. They are excited to see what the new year holds and eager to celebrate their wedding with friends and family in October!
