FAQs

The Wedding Website of Pam Seton and Zac Barr
We’ve put together a list of answers to the most common wedding questions below — from what to wear to how to get there and everything in between. If there’s something we haven’t covered, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. We’re more than happy to help (and it saves us from answering 20 texts the week before the wedding 😅).
Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before the ceremony start time so you can relax, find your seat, and settle in before the fun begins.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Think your best dress (or best self!) — we want everyone looking and feeling fabulous, but there’s no need to buy a whole new outfit. Come comfortable, confident, and ready to celebrate. Anything between smart casual to formal will be perfect - just pick your vibe.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

They’re in separate locations, both listed in the schedule on this website.

Question

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Everything’s indoors, so no need to stress about Melbourne’s “four seasons in one day” weather. 😉

Question

Will there be vegetarian, vegan, or dietary options?

Answer

There’ll be vegetarian options built into the menu. If you have any other dietary needs, please let us know when you RSVP so we can make sure you’re looked after.

Question

Are drinks provided?

Answer

Yes — drinks are on us! There will be a menu at the bar to let you know what's available to order. We hope you have a great time.

Question

What’s the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

Melbourne’s trams or a rideshare are your best bet. For the ceremony, the 3, 5, 6, 16 or 72 trams can be caught from outside Flinders St Station down to the Toorak Rd/St Kilda Rd intersection, and is only a two minute walk from there. To get from the ceremony to reception there more options - we recommend either ride sharing or taking the trams up to Flinders St Station, then catching either the Hurtsbridge or Mernda line up to Collingwood station. The venue is six minutes walk from there.

Question

Is there parking nearby?

Answer

You might find some parking, but it’s limited. We recommend public transport or rideshare to keep it stress-free. For the ceremony there is some on-street parking but is quite limited, with usually a 1 hour restriction. There is also a Wilson carpark at 1 Queens Rd right under the building where the ceremony will talk place. For the reception, there is also limited on-street parking nearby, usually around 2 hours. There is also a Parkedin Car Park at 106 Gipps St, which is very close to the venue.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There’s plenty of accommodation around! If you’d like to share a place with other guests to save on costs, let us know — we’re happy to help connect people. We would generally recommend something close to the CBD for easy access to the venue.

Question

How close is the venue to Melbourne CBD

Answer

About 10 minutes by tram from Flinders St Station. Driving times will vary depending on traffic but it is roughly half an hour from Tullamarine airport.

Question

Can I bring my kids or a plus-one?

Answer

Our guest list is limited to named attendees only — thank you for understanding!

Question

When does the party wrap up?

Answer

Our venue will close at 10:30.

Question

Will there be an after-party or next-day brunch?

Answer
