After weeks of messaging, Jim surprised us both by asking Pam if she would like to meet for breakfast. It was a brave invitation when you live over two hours apart and in two separate states. There are so many ways to tell our story! We've exchanged lots and lots of texts to get to know one another, some had themes like "Random Facts", "Reasons I'm Thankful", and "Someday I want to...". We had weekly adventures and visited interesting places across Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. For months, we met in parks, museums, malls, and art galleries to account for rain, sun, and snow! We exchanged songs and created playlists to stay connected and we're so excited to share some of our favorites with you as part of our ceremony and dance. We even found ways to create shared interests, like joining family fantasy football leagues and exercising together over texts. Yes, it's possible, helpful, and even fun! We knew from the beginning that we had met someone special. We've laughed, cried and treasured sharing the simple things and getting to know the important people in each other's lives. We've learned it is possible to find joy after heartbreak. Please join us in celebrating our new beginning.
