Uber
Uber is available in Madrid. This is a good option for traveling through the city!
Metro
The metro is the fastest way to get around the city. Apple maps has metro directions. The metro runs from 6:00 am to 1:30 am.
To use the metro, you purchase a reloadable card with ten rides on it. These cards are sold at every metro entrance on a touchscreen machine. Once your card is loaded, scan it, enter through the gates and walk to your metro line. This is our favorite way to get around the city because it is inexpensive, quick and easy. This is a good way to travel like a local!
Taxi
Taxi's are available all day and night. Taxi's can be hailed on the street or can be reserved in advance.
Rental Car
Renting a car is also an option in Madrid, but we do not recommend going this route. Parking is very difficult to find, and driving can be overwhelming.
