PATAGONIA (South): Patagonia is a massive piece of land, so you need to narrow-down a bit (Patagonia is 4 times the size of the UK). The typical destinations in Patagonia are: Bariloche: Quite a big city in Nahuel Huapi lake. Really beautiful and great food. Villa La Angostura: A great small village Ushuaia: Most Southern town in the world El Calafate: Home of the largest glaciar in the world, Perito Moreno. El Bolson: wild land with amazing views MENDOZA (West of BA, 2hr flight): Home of the wine. What most people do is going to a hotel/vineyard. Some good ones. SALTA (North, 2.5hr flight): One of my favorite places in Argentina. Can be a great alternative to Mendoza or Patagonia. If you go to Salta, it is kind of an obligation to also visit Jujuy, very close and home of Purmamarca and Cafayate. Salta provides a chance to see tradition mixed with great sights and also to drink amazing wine combined with empanadas
