**Window seat recommended** We know you are traveling far and hope to make it as easy as possible. This is also a great opportunity to take a mini-vacation and explore all that the island has to offer! Below are accommodations for the wedding. See our "Things to do" page for more ideas for your trip!

Flight

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU)

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, PR (SJU) is the easiest to travel in/out of and is about 20 mins from the hotel. Although it seems far, flying to PR can be less expensive if you are flexible about the city you depart from. **Note: PR does not do daylight savings, so times will be one hour off EST** Try the "Hopper" app - it allows you to watch prices of flights during certain date ranges and alerts you when its the best time to buy.

Travel Note

Traveling to Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is a US Territory, so flights are considered domestic and you do not need a passport. US dollars are the currency. If you plan to use your debit/credit card, you should call the company ahead of time to let them know about your travel plans. You do not need an international phone plan - with most plans, your phone will work like normal without extra charges.

Rental Car

Driving around Puerto Rico

If you are planning to stick around San Juan, taxis, Uber, and Lyft are easily available to get around in. If you want to explore the rest of the island (you can drive to the other side of the island in about 2.5 hours), rental cars are available at the airport. We had a good experience with Enterprise and are working on getting a group discount. The hotel also has an Enterprise in it. Road signs are in Spanish, but look similar to what you're used to so its easy to figure out. Distance is sometimes in miles and sometimes in kilometers, and gas is sold in liters. Don't take honking personally! As you get further away from cities, not every street is labeled (or even has a name) so you need clear addresses or GPS coordinates of what you are looking for. Intersections can be tricky - stop signs are often optional (if there even is a stop sign)! The middle of the island has narrow roads with steep mountains, so if you go there make sure you are up for the challenge!
