Most people in San Juan and other major cities speak English. However, if you venture out into more remote areas of the island, English speaking is less common. People are friendly and generally know some English, so you'll be able to get by. If you want a head start on practicing Spanish, try the DuoLingo app and compete with Michael @ Miguel33K
The hotel does not offer airport shuttles, so you will need to take a cab. It is about a 15-20 minute drive.
Here are some details that will help you decide what to wear: Temperature in January will be in the 70s-80s. We will not be on grass or sand at all, so feel free to wear whatever shoes you wish! The ceremony/cocktail hour will be held in an open-air area, and the reception will be indoors with AC. The venue has several outdoor balconies and a rooftop to explore.
The venue does not have parking, so we will be providing transportation to and from the hotel. If you are staying somewhere else, we recommend taking a taxi.
Kids are welcome to come! There’s plenty for kids to enjoy on the resort and the rest of the island, and we are happy to have them join at the wedding - just let us know if you need a kids meal. If you would prefer some alone time for the big day, reach out and we can arrange child care.
We are only inviting our closest friends and family, so if you are reading this, you ARE the party!
