Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Avonlea Farms is a large venue, please arrive by 4:00pm to allow for you to get settled prior to the ceremony. Venue staff and crew will help direct and transport you from parking at the front of the property to the ceremony.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The theme is pastel garden party. Guests are invited to embrace the enchanting pastel palette with semi-formal/cocktail attire. Embrace comfort, as we’ll be surrounded by nature’s beauty on a summer day and there is a little walk between locations on property. Feel free to reach out to Jenn if you would like more guidance. We can’t wait to to see how good you clean up!

Can I bring a date?

Due to venue capacity constraints, we kindly ask that only the invited guests indicated on RSVP attend.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To keep the celebration intimate, the event be adults-only, with the exception of our nieces, nephews, and some close family members over the age of 15. To confirm invitation, please refer to your invitation and RSVP.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend reserving an AirBnB or VRBO on Lake Anna, only 15 minutes from the venue. Enjoy time on the lake surrounding our special day! Additionally, there are many hotel options near the Short Pump Town Center located about 30 minutes from the venue.

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Due to our guest staying in multiple locations, we won’t be providing transportation. We kindly ask that you plan ahead and arrange your own safe way back to your accommodations. If you are unable to safely and responsibly drive home, you are able to leave your vehicle at the venue overnight. The venue is not liable if anything happens to the vehicle. Cars that are left overnight must be promptly picked up the next day before 10am. Please note the manager on duty does need to be informed if any cars are going to be left on the property.
