Tyler was a customer at the bar I worked at in Downtown Tampa, Hattricks Tavern. It's a lively hockey bar and Tyler lived close by so he would come in with friends a few times a week. The Friday before my 22nd birthday I was having some drinks with the girls at Hattricks, Tyler was there, and we ended up sitting next to each other and neither of us expected it, but there was instant chemistry. We talked and laughed all night and from then on were inseparable!

Fast forward four years... after a move to Canada, doing a long distance relationship for 8 months, and ultimately moving back to Florida, I wanted to plan a nice celebration for our anniversary and Paige's birthday. So, we went to Orlando for a weekend staycation. I planned to propose the night before her birthday at a roof top restaurant in Disney. We got to Orlando earlier in the day and went to a winery. I was anxious and nervous all day thinking about the proposal, so decided I couldn't wait any longer. I grabbed the ring out of the car and walked with Paige around the winerys outside venue where they held weddings. I got down on one knee and because of the nerves I don't even remember what was said, other than a teary eyed Paige saying "Are you serious?!?!?" and the most important part, she said "Yes!"
