Our Story

Paige and Taylor's first date was only a few days into 2020 and lasted about six hours. Magically, Paige arrived at the coffee shop first. When Taylor walked in (with her super long hair!), Paige walked up to her and gave her a hug. Unbeknownst to Paige until much later, this made Taylor freak out a little bit. She gave that extrovert a chance anyway. After coffee, they didn't want to part ways so they also got dinner and talked about everything under the sun. After this, they were immediately inseparable. They tried so hard not to have four dates in one week so early on, but they failed. Taylor knew she was in love with Paige by date number two, when Paige got unreasonably excited about a drink that had muddled cucumber at Yokozuna downtown. She loved her enthusiasm for the little things in life. Paige knew she was in love with Taylor a few days later when Taylor cut off all of her long hair (that she'd had her whole life!) and sent Paige a selfie from her car. Paige was enamored by what she saw in Taylor's eyes in that photo. She was coming into her own in a really beautiful way, and Paige knew she wanted to be there to continue to witness and experience that. Two months later, lockdown was announced. At the time, they thought the pandemic would only last a couple of weeks (lol, remember that?) so Paige went on ahead and MOVED IN to Taylor's tiny apartment. Shortly after that, they moved into a dreamy little house in Maple Ridge and adopted a tiny baby black cat. Now they own a 100-year-old home in midtown Tulsa and have TWO black cats! They're still inseparable, and very much in love. They're so excited to share their love with you on their wedding day!

Our Engagement

December of 2023

Paige and Taylor got engaged on 12/7/23 at Crystal Bridges, the world-renowned art museum in NW Arkansas. They spent the day perusing the art and then ended the day at the museum's "Listening Forest", a massive outdoor space filled with art installations. At this particular moment in time, the forest was full of 8 installations by artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, who had repurposed surveillance equipment into "instruments of connection". From a field of thousands and thousands of lights of our recorded heartbeats to rivers of poetry to infrared mirrors that captured our special moment, we had such a meaningful and beautiful night. As if this weren't enough, Taylor went the extra mile and booked the VIP experience where they had desserts, bottle service, music, and flowers in an igloo in the middle of the forest. Paige and Taylor pressed the bouquet of daises from this incredible night and are still trying to figure out what to do with them- hit us up if you have ideas. On the way back from Crystal Bridges, they probably called you. Thank you for being as excited as they are about the engagement. It means the world to them.
