Ithaca Farmers Market
The Ithaca Farmer's Market is an amazing market just outside of town. It is open every Saturday from 9 am - 3 pm and every Sunday from 10 am - 3 pm. This is a great place to try the amazing local food and explore the many local vendors and artists.
Taughannock Falls State Park
Taughannock Falls is one of the most popular state parks in Ithaca. It is a beautiful gorge with many hiking trails. It is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Ithaca and 30 minutes from Lansing.
Ithaca Falls
Ithaca Falls is a smaller gorge located downtown in Fall Creek. It is not recommended to swim in the water due to contamination but it is beautiful to look at and easy to get to from downtown.
Robert H. Treman State Park
Robert H. Treman is a beautiful state park that holds more of Ithaca's famous gorges. This park is more family friendly as it has a designated swimming area with a lifeguard. Treman is about a 15 minute drive from Downtown Ithaca.
Ithaca Beer Company
Ithaca Beer Company is a great local brewery with multiple locations. One is located in Collegetown where Cornell University is located and the other larger location is about a 10 minute drive from downtown.
Collegetown Bagels
Collegetown Bagels is a great places to grab coffee, bagels or sandwiches. They have an extensive menu with many options. They are located right across the street from the downtown Marriott.
Ithaca Ale House
The Ale House has the best burgers in town! They are also located right across the street from the Marriott, adjacent to Collegetown Bagels.
Ithaca Bakery
Ithaca Bakery has an insanely overwhelming menu with many different sandwiches and beverages. They have a location about a 5 minute drive from the Commons and another one up near the Ithaca Mall in Lansing.
Moosewood Restaurant
Moosewood Restaurant is a yummy vegan restaurant which is home to the famous Moosewood Cookbook! It is located downtown on the Commons.
Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art
The Johnson Museum at Cornell is an incredible art gallery situated on Cornell's campus with free admission. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm.
Cayuga Lake Wine Trail
The Finger Lakes Region is known for it's wine. Follow the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail to the many wineries situated on Cayuga Lake such as Thirsty Owl, Americana Vineyards, Buttonwood Grove, Cayuga Ridge Estate, Hosmer Winery, Lucas Vineyards and many more!
Seneca Lake Wine Trail
If you are willing to venture a little farther out of town, drive over to Seneca Lake to experience, in Paige's opinion, even BETTER wine! Recommendations include Red Newt Cellars (where Paige used to work), Two Goats Brewing, Lucky Hare Brewing Company, Forge Cellars, Hector Wine Company, Damiani Wine Cellars, Boundary Breaks Vineyard, Ryan William Winery and Atwater Vineyards.
