It all started on a Buffalo Bills football Sunday, as most adventures tend to do, when Paige and Ken both swiped right. They went on a blind date the following week. Paige loves being outdoors and hiking, so Ken took her to the Tifft Nature Preserve. After a lovely hike through the fall foliage they continued their walk along the Lake Erie shoreline. The lake winds brought tears to Paige's eyes, Ken hoped it wasn't because the date was going badly. After miles of walking and hours of talking, they quickly realized how compatible they were. Plans were made to see each other the next weekend, and they spent every weekend together after that until moving to Kansas City!

On yet another windy day, Ken took Paige (and Ellie) back to the Outer Harbor located along the Lake Erie shoreline where they spent time during their first date. Ken told Paige he had planned a walk to enjoy the lake before they moved in July. While taking in the picturesque views, Ken got down on one knee and asked Paige for her hand in marriage. Paige was speechless, once again making Ken nervous that things weren't going well, but she was taken aback with joy by the thought of spending the rest of her life with Ken. Ellie also said yes! They celebrated with beers at 42 North Brewery afterwards.
