Unconventionally, we met on a dating app right around August of 2021. It was love at first sight, as they say, but through our dating app profiles. I had just moved into my house in Emmaus and Chris had just moved in with a friend in Boyertown, meaning that we showed up "within range" for each other. Chris had a picture of him and his dog, Lyla, as the first picture and that drew me in from the start. Our first date was at my new house, where we ordered dinner in and hung out together and let the dogs meet in the backyard for the first time. If you know Chris and I, we both love our dogs dearly and a first date without them, just wouldn't be us. Things are history after that. He learned to live with my crazy animals while adding another one to the mix and I learned to live with his crazy workaholic lifestyle. We officially began dating Christmas Day when Chris asked me to be his girlfriend in my parents basement bathroom lol.

On our annual Harrold vacation, we went to Isle of Palms in Charleston for a beach week. We rented a house, Bayfront, with a pool and long boat dock. Chris flew in from a Bachelor Party on Sunday night, while my family, including me, arrived Saturday afternoon. We had a casual beach day on Monday and had a nice dinner planned that evening at Acme Lowcountry Kitchen (or so I thought). Since we were all dressed up, we decided to family pictures out on the dock right before dinner. Once we got out on the dock, Chris and I were the first to get pictures together out on the lower dock right on the water. That's where he decided to pop the question and it was beautiful! We never ended up going out to dinner but we did have a nice steak dinner prepared by my family while we popped champagne and took in the moment. We got to enjoy the rest of vacation, engaged!
