Things To Do

There are plenty of things to do in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. We like our food so the majority of the recommendations are restaurants. These recommendations include options for any time of day and a variety of different flavors, and are generally near or around Oklahoma City's Bricktown area. We also included a few attractions, museums, and some casual things to do that might help fill up your free time while in the area.

Harvey Bakery & Kitchen

301 Northwest 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

Breakfast/Coffee spot

The Jones Assembly

901 West Sheridan Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73106

Lunch, Dinner, nightlife, live bands

Iguana Mexican Grill

9 Northwest 9th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73102

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants!

El Fogón De Edgar

Authentic Colombian cuisine

Bourbon St. Cafe

100 East California Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Cajun & Creole restaurant on the OKC Riverwalk.

The Melting Pot

4 East Sheridan Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Fondue restaurant that creates its own entertainment for the whole family.

Cattlemen's Steakhouse

1309 South Agnew Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73108

Phenomenal steaks! An OKC staple providing hearty meals at comparably reasonable prices. The house beer (Double Deuce) is worth a try!

Cafe Antigua

1903 North Classen Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73106

Breakfast and lunch spot offering authentic Guatemalan dishes.

Waffle Champion

1212 North Walker Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

Waffles - need more be said? A great stop for a great breakfast!

Deep Deuce Bar and Grill

307 Northeast 2nd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Excellent selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and tacos. A little bit of something for everyone.

Chicken N Pickle - Oklahoma City

8400 North Oklahoma Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73114

Pickleball, drinks, eats. If you are looking to try out pickleball, you may want to consider trying to reserve a court well in advance! Plenty of sidewalk games also - very family friendly atmosphere

Dust Bowl Lanes and Lounge

421 Northwest 10th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

Unique, older-style bowling alley with bar-style food options and a decently stocked bar. This was actually the first place Paige and Brian went on an "official" date together! It may be a little difficult to find if you've never been. It sits underneath Fassler Hall, a German-style beer hall. So if you find one, you have practically found the other!

Fassler Hall

421 Northwest 10th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

German-style beer hall with both an indoor and outdoor seating area. Generally have ping-pong tables available and whatever sports event is ongoing on the numerous televisions throughout. It sits above the Dust Bowl Lanes, in case you have trouble locating them. An easy way to visit two attractions without having to hop back in the car.

The Collective Kitchens and Cocktails

308 Northwest 10th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

Drinks, eats, nightlife. One of Paige's favorites!

First Americans Museum

659 American Indian Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73129

Discover more about the origins of the United States and the people who were here first! Very neat experience - Paige and Brian would both recommend. We could easily spend upwards of three hours here.

Prairie OKC

3 Northeast 8th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Taproom for one of Oklahoma's more famous breweries. Adjoined by some eats and entertainment options, Prairie Artisan offers flavors abounding in their high-point craft brews.

Cafe Kacao

3325 North Classen Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73118

Breakfast/lunch. Fun drinks. Features homestyle Guatemalan favorites and Latin-themed cuisine.

Remington Park

1 Remington Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73111

Race track and casino are the main draws but there are also eats and drinks on-site.

Science Museum Oklahoma

2020 Remington Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73111

Very neat museum for kids of (most) ages! The very young may not get to enjoy it as much as the more interactive toddlers+, but we still recommend the experience!

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

1700 Northeast 63rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73111

Museum of Osteology

10301 South Sunnylane Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73160

Look at the bones! It is a little off the beaten path but the Museum of Osteology is a neat option for the kids!

Riverwind Casino

1544 Oklahoma 9, Norman, OK 73072

A casino a little out of the way, this would be the "hometown" casino for Paige and Brian.

Lake Hefner

Oklahoma City, OK

The east side of the lake is lined with some excellent restaurants providing equally excellent lake views and a lighthouse! It is also a popular lake for the runners or bikers out there.

Myriad Botanical Gardens

301 West Reno Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73102

Lovely area in downtown OKC with impressive floral exhibits and a koi pond!

Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

620 North Harvey Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73102

While most suggested sites here are lighthearted and fun to experience, this one is more emotional to take in. We recommend stopping through if you have not.

Scissortail Park

300 Southwest 7th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73109

Farmer's Market scheduled from 9AM - 1PM on October 19th. Details can be found at the park's website. Perfect way to occupy your morning before or after a brunch!

For all the days along the way
