Wedding Party

Libby Brozik

Matron of Honor

Libby and Paige met freshman year at Hope College. They were roommates for part of Junior year and all of Senior year. They were even small group leaders together at their church youth group for a few years. Paige and Libby are so close, Paige even introduced Libby to her husband! (Paige also found Libby's wedding dress, which any self-respecting bride knows is the second most important part of the wedding).

Chris Trave

Best Man

Chris and Arthya met through work back in 2012 and they quickly become bestfriends. Arthya was even “adopted” by Chris’ parents to be the “second favorite son” (Chris has an older brother, so yeah, do the math!). From there, things started rolling: Chris introduced Arthya to disc golf, Arthya taught Chris to fish for salmon with a beer bottle (and Chris caught the only salmon that day), more salmon fishing trips, camping trips together, “philosophical” conversations until 3 AM, and so much more. They have a goal that in the distant future, they will stay in the same retirement home and continue to annoy each-other.

Zoey Hallam

Bridesmaid

Zoey and Paige also met freshman year at Hope College - in Libby's room! Zoey and Paige were roommates for part of Junior year and all of Senior year. Both are horrible at remembering to take pictures so, other than a few from her's and Libby's weddings there is only one of just the two of them! They'll have to fix that!

Johannes Indra Suryantana

Groomsman

Indra and Arthya go back a long time: They both received scholarship to study at Saint Joseph’s Institution in Singapore in 2004 where they first met at the Catholic Junior College Dorm. Sharing the same passion and love for Christ, music, computer games, and snacking, they quickly become friends and eventually roommates. While in Singapore Indra introduced Arthya to GPBB Singapore (Bukit Batok Presbyterian Church), where they both served as committee members for the youth ministry and also sang in the choir. Now, being separated quite literally by half of the world, they still keep in touch with each-other (though they can do better!).

Audrey Edewaard

Bridesmaid

"Aud" and Paige met Paige's second summer (2011) at Camp Geneva. They weren't very close until after college when they both worked a final year at camp and then headed off to Seminary together where they bonded over the challenges of systematic theology and hermeneutics (look it up). Aud is MUCH better at taking pictures than Paige so there are many more of these two together.

Christian Sutanto

Groomsman

Christian and Arthya are cousins, and their family are very close to each-other. Christian and his wife, Desira, have been there every step of the way since Arthya and his family moved to the US over 10 years ago. A few of Arthya’s fondest memories from visiting Christian was playing Devil May Cry on Christian’s PlayStation 2 well past midnight and the Christmas family gatherings. Now, Arthya adores Christian and Desi’s kids: Joshua, Gabriel, and Emma. He hopes that he can visit them more often and one day go on a salmon fishing trip together.

Dan Murphy

Usher

Dan and Arthya met in 2012, when Arthya first came to the Bemis Innovation Center as full-time engineer. Now, they both work for the same division in the company, have been to multiple fishing trips together (the last one being in Canada where they caught about 600 fish in 5 days), and they are very close friends. Dan’s wife, Lisa, even helped Arthya picked the engagement ring for Paige. Dan has shared a lot of his knowledge and wisdom (not just about fishing) with Arthya, and he is a figure that Arthya looks up to. As someone who is very important in his life, Arthya is very honored to have Dan involved in the most important day of his life.
