As space at the Chateau is limited, we have already reached out to the guests who will be staying on the property. If you aren't sure, please reach out to us and ask!
We love your kids — we really do. But we are having a kid-free wedding!
Yes! We will have a bus from Paris on Thursday and back on Sunday. See details on shuttles on the Travel page or Itinerary page. For guests staying in Sens, if you'd prefer, you can take the train from Gare de Paris to Gare de Sens and back. The train station in Sens is a 10-15 minute walk (or a 5 minute drive) from the Archotel, and the train ride is about as long as the drive (1.5 hours). If you are not staying in Sens or simply prefer to have your own car, feel free to rent a car! There is plenty of parking at the Chateau and the hotel.
See above — we will have shuttles from Paris and for guests in Sens, you can also take the train. That being said, the Chateau has plenty of parking, so you can rent a car if you'd like. If you are staying at the Chateau, the Archotel in Sens, or within walking distance of the Archotel, you won't need a car to get to and from the Chateau for wedding events. If you prefer to rent a car for more flexibility during the weekend, by all means, do so. Anyone staying farther than walking distance from the shuttle or the Chateau is encouraged to rent a car.
ASAP! We have a room block at the Archotel and suggest some airbnbs on the Travel and Accomodations tab, but rooms are limited.
There are three options: (1) Hire a private car from Paris to Vallery. Note that this will only work for the Paris to Vallery leg, as there are very limited ubers/cabs in Vallery (unless you book in advance). (2) Take the train from Paris to Sens. From there, it's a 15-20 minute car ride to Vallery (schedule this in advance!). Or, if you're staying in Sens, it's about a 15 minute walk to the Archotel. (3) Rent a car. There is parking available at the Chateau and at the Archotel in Sens.
We'd love for you to take advantage of this trip to Europe and arrive as early (or stay as late) as you want! That being said, the festivities start on the evening of Thursday 8/10, and last until the early afternoon of Sunday 8/13. If you can make it for the whole weekend, we recommend landing in Paris the morning of Thursday 8/10 and flying out Sunday night. If you aren't able to arrive until Friday, we understand and will make sure you have just as much fun!
Nope! There is cell service (so you can use data on your phone), but no wifi across the property.
Check out the Weekend Schedule tab for specific attire suggestions (note that if no dress code is listed, that means it's casual). For the two events that do have dress codes (the rehearsal dinner and the wedding), you can take a look at this link for descriptions / examples: bit.ly/whattowear23
