Paige & Adam met like most twenty-somethings do in this day and age: at the software company Wunderkind, then known as BounceX, in New York City. Both account managers, they were placed on the same "pod" (team), Hakuna Podtata. But their paths would soon diverge. Paige began climbing the corporate ladder faster than Boston Rob during a "Survivor" immunity challenge; meanwhile, Adam took the scenic route, moving to the Bay Area and opening a "BounceX West" office which grew to 2 employees. Then, memorably, Paige was promoted to pod leader, becoming Adam's manager, or "boss." At Adam's urging, Paige renamed their team Je Ne Sais Pod. A spirit of respect and admiration would come to mark their dynamic, as would a mutual appreciation for the deceptively-named Ocean View Hotel in Santa Monica, where they would often stay for work trips, and a never-entirely-ironic love of Evanescence and "covfefe" memes. After some time and personnel changes, Adam found himself back in NYC and under new management. One after-work "friend date" on the Lower East Side stretched over many hours and locations, sparking the possibility of a deeper connection. Another meet-up "among friends" to watch Scream at Paige's apartment would challenge the pretense further. Soon enough, the qualifiers were dropped, and a formal invitation by Adam to dinner (as ever, on the LES) was accepted, kicking off a proper courtship. Then, suddenly, the city—and, soon after, the world—lurched to a halt. Paige's parents, who had not yet met Adam, were fortunate to have secured a vacant home next door to them in Connecticut. In the midst of so much uncertainty, Paige and Adam took a leap of faith: faith that their relatively young relationship could withstand the pressures of cohabitation, of prolonged isolation from the outside world, and of being within an arm's length of one's parents for two months. (The parents took a leap of faith, too: faith that their child was not quarantining with an axe murderer.) Under such pressure-cooker conditions, and in all of their living arrangements since, Paige and Adam have always found home in each other: another summertime quarantine stint in DC, with Adam's family; two years in Philadelphia, where Paige would earn her MBA at Wharton; and finally in Brooklyn, where former colleagues and classmates are now dear friends and neighbors. They are thrilled to be able to celebrate their love with you. But first, covfefe.
