We both were living in the Spicer dorms at the University of Akron. Brian would hang out in the study lounge on my end of the dorms on the second floor. I would walk by all the time and see him with friends (mainly Zack Gould) in there every week. He finally manned up, slid into my DMs and the rest is history.

We went on a little mini vacation during COVID19 to Albuquerque, NM. We did so many activities that weekend including horseback riding in the Sandia Mountain, we took the Sandia Peak Tramway to the top and hiked down 9 miles, and enjoyed a couple of local breweries and restaurants. The night before we were headed home, Brian says "We have one more thing we're doing but it's a secret and you have to be up and ready by 5:30am. You also have to look nice." Of course, I freaked out and wanted to know what was going on. The next morning we got up and ready for our first ever hot air balloon ride at 6am. I always talked about how I wanted to go to the hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque but we couldn't go because COVID19 hit and they ended up canceling the event. After being 30 minutes in the air, he popped the question and of course I said "YES!". We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in NY!
