One of the first hikes we did together, Rock Canyon is located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and is a beloved local area known for its towering cliffs, scenic hiking trails, and sweeping mountain views. With its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings, it’s one of our favorite spots for running and hiking!
You may recognize this from our engagement video, Guardsman Pass is a beautiful mountain drive through the Wasatch Range, connecting Park City and Big Cottonwood Canyon. The scenic route is roughly 14–24 miles long and typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour to drive. With winding mountain roads, alpine forests, and sweeping views from over 9,700 feet in elevation, it’s considered an easy to moderate drive and a favorite for enjoying Utah’s mountain scenery.
The Quarry is one of the largest climbing gyms in Utah, offering a wide variety of bouldering, top-rope, and lead climbing. With walls for every skill level and a welcoming community, it’s a great place to experience the local climbing scene and stay active while visiting the area!
The first hike we did together, Bridal Veil Falls is a stunning 607-foot waterfall located at the mouth of Provo Canyon. A short, paved trail leads visitors to the base of the falls, making it an easy and beautiful stop for taking in the scenery and enjoying one of the area’s most iconic natural landmarks.
Tibble Fork Reservoir is a beautiful mountain lake nestled in American Fork Canyon, surrounded by forested hills and scenic peaks. It’s a popular spot for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and picnicking. Our ceremony venue is located nearby, making it easy for guests to enjoy the stunning natural surroundings before or after the celebration.
The Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns is a world-class skating facility known for its fast, smooth ice and Olympic history. Guests can enjoy public skating sessions, learn to skate, or watch speed skating in action at this iconic venue from the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Stewart Falls is a breathtaking waterfall located in the Wasatch Mountains near Sundance, Utah. A family-friendly, moderate hike of about 3.5 miles round-trip leads to the falls, offering forested trails, mountain streams, and stunning views along the way. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy nature and take memorable photos.

Java Junkie is a cozy coffee shop in Provo, offering expertly crafted espresso drinks, pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere. We have had many coffee dates here! It’s a great spot to relax, catch up with friends, or fuel up before a day of exploring the area.
Purple Turtle in Pleasant Grove is a tradition for us after finishing a long, mountain climb. Our first time at Purple Turtle was after summiting Mount Timpanogos! It is a fast-casual restaurant known for its fresh, made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. With a bright and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a convenient spot for a quick, tasty meal.
Leatherby’s in Orem is our favorite ice cream parlor! It's famous for its huge, over-the-top sundaes, hand-made flavors, and yummy fry sauce. With a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to indulge in a sweet treat and share a memorable dessert experience!
