Le Pietre Vive - truffle hunting, restaurant, and farm
One of many local farms. This one has olive oil, saffron, and honey along with guided tours. WhatsApp: +39 333 466 3208 From host: Buongiorno 🌞! The truffle hunts take place in the woods just above the farm. Outside the farm house/restaurant we meet up with the truffle hunters and wonderful dogs and proceed on foot. The hunt usually lasts 1 to 2h depending on weather and luck of the hunt! It is necessary go truffle hunting early morning, around 8:30 am or late afternoon about 17:30- 18:00. The cost varies on the season and kind of truffle but the base is ~€85/person. Children <12 are half price. Tasting session with fresh truffle crostini, tasters of local produce and a glass of our Chianti Colli Senese wine: €25/person. After a morning hunt it is also possible to do a cooking class at 10:30 (price for hunt, truffle menu cooking class, and lunch €220 or €130–145 class only). Or we can book you a dinner table here at the farm house to try some delicious truffle-based dishes.
