Question

How do I get there?

Answer

Locals say by car is the best way to get around. If you do drive, please be safe, and there is parking at our venue. The train is an option too, you’ll just need to coordinate a lift to the venue. We’ve also included a carpool signup sheet below. Here are 2 car services shared by our hotel (your hotel may have recs): Roberto Caselli 🚕 tel. +39 347 263 9931 Andrè Tistoni 🚕 tel. +39 377 496 3333 Firenze is the closest major city to Castello di San Fabiano which is in Monteroni d'Arbia. You can get there from the city centre in ~1h 30 min by car, 1h 50 min–2h 30 min by a train that stops in Siena. The nearest airport is Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR), 1h 20 min away. Rome (FCO) or Pisa (PSA) are ~2h 30 min away. Milan (MXP), Naples (NAP), Venice (VCE) also have trains to Florence but high-speed Freciarossa trains typically run from city centres. Siena is just 30 min from Monteroni d’Arbia by direct train. Carpool signup: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mAX0SPbxInLq5DAfoPd_RWjZLEXoWEKlg_AW3gXIj7Q/edit?usp=drivesdk

Question

Will you have shuttles on Saturday?

Answer

Yes. We’ve booked a car service on Saturday, 18 July that will pick up and drop off at 2–3 local hotels or a central meeting point depending on where most guests stay. Each van fits 7 people maximum. Contact if needed: Roberto Caselli 🚕 tel. +39 347 2639931. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm but guests are welcome to arrive as soon as 3:30pm. First shuttles will leave from 2:30pm. Shuttle drop-offs at night will be from around 12am–1:45am at up to 4 pre-determined locations. For our Sunday gathering, we recommend coordinating with a taxi or carpooling!

Question

Can I bring my kid? How about a +1?

Answer

We love kids, but will be having a kid-free wedding! If you’re bringing your children with you for a family holiday, we can help you organize a local babysitter for the Saturday event. Just let us know. Between our friends and family, we would have over 50 kids to consider. We hope you understand it would be difficult with strict guest counts to include every single person. As for +1s, invitations will be sent by name and we ask that you do not bring additional people. We sincerely hope you can make it. 🤍 For sitters and nannies (sent by our venue): lalista.com/suppliers/experience/tripsitta sitly.it/en en.babysits.it/babysitter/siena

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal cocktail attire for the wedding. For anyone wearing heels, there are some grassy areas and a block heel may be best. Weather in July can be upwards of 88-90°F (31-32°C) and cool down to 64°F (18°C) at night. We will have fans and shaded areas. For Sunday, dress for garden party and poolside vibes. 10/10 chance the groom is getting in that pool.

Question

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes and we will have a parking attendant. The castle is on plenty of land with spaces to park if you decide to brave the Italian roads. Be careful driving please!

Question

Will you be having other events?

Answer

We’re having a Sunday garden party/picnic/poolside thing 11:30am–2:30pm at the same location as the Saturday wedding. Everything will be added to the “Weekend schedule” tab.

Question

Where should I stay/visit in Italy?

Answer

See the "Hotels and villas" tab in the main navigation or "Things to do" for all kinds of ideas. Important note: Please book your accommodation as soon as possible given it’s a peak time for summer travels. There are many villas, b&bs, and hotels in the region including loads of options further away in Siena which is just 30 minutes away by car or train.

Question

I have a creative idea for your wedding. Can I contribute?

Answer

Let’s do it! Send us your thoughts — whether you’re a DJ, photographer, designer, performer or vibe bringer, we are open to your ideas and want our event design to feel collaborative and personal.

Question

What if I have food allergies?

Answer

Let us know if you have any allergies and we will do our best to accommodate by working with our Chef and bartenders. While our team speaks English, and Jacqueline's mom can help translate Italian, there is always a risk of language barriers so please let us know if you have airborne allergies as well so we can make sure you’re comfy and fed. We are working to ask caterers to have a nut-free kitchen (no oils, milks, etc.) including no pink peppercorn, mango, sumac, or related foods. For our celiac friends, we are trying for some “senza gluten” options in this land of pasta and carbs and will keep you posted on whether there is risk of cross-contamination. Please consider that cocktails may also pose risk as amaris often contain loads of different herbs and ingredients. We will feed you, we promise! We want our guests to enjoy the cocktails and dinner service and have chosen an experienced, fully licensed caterer accordingly.

Question

Is there a card drop off?

Answer

Sure! We kindly ask that you don’t gift us any large items otherwise as we will be on the road after the wedding and unable to ship them back easily. Your presence is enough and we are so grateful if you can come. 💕🪩✨

Question

Why Italia?

Answer

Aside from the food and gorgeous scenery? Nick lived in Genoa for 6 months, and Jacqueline’s grandparents are from Campania region. We wanted to choose a neutral ground for our families and friends who are based all over the world but also somewhere that had personal meaning to us.
