There are no direct flights to San Miguel de Allende. You will need to fly into Leon, Queretaro, or Mexico City and then take ground transportation to San Miguel de Allende. Travel Note
If you’re flying in and out of Tijuana for the wedding, the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is the easiest way to go from San Diego straight into the Tijuana Airport without the hassle of border traffic. The basics: Park at the CBX terminal in Otay Mesa (plenty of parking for a few hours or several days. Just snap a quick photo of your spot so you remember where you left the car). Walk across the enclosed CBX bridge, and you’ll land right inside the TIJ airport. Heads up: CBX only works if your flight leaves from Tijuana Airport and comes back to Tijuana Airport—roundtrip from the same place. Tickets: You’ll need a CBX pass in addition to your plane ticket. Flight
Why fly into León/Guanajuato (BJX)? Benefit: More domestic and international flight options, with a roughly 1 h 30 min drive to San Miguel. Downside: Longer ground transfer than QRO and fewer scheduled shared shuttles. ¿Por qué volar a León/Guanajuato (BJX)? Ventaja: Más rutas nacionales e internacionales que QRO, con un viaje en auto de unos 1 h 30 min a San Miguel. Desventaja: Traslado más largo y menos frecuencia de shuttles compartidos que desde QRO.

Why fly into Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO)? Benefit: Only about a 1 h 10 min car ride to San Miguel, plus shorter lines and easy ground transfers. Downside: Fewer flight options and likely a connection versus larger hubs. ¿Por qué volar a Querétaro (QRO)? Ventaja: A solo 1 h 10 min en auto a San Miguel, menos filas en el aeropuerto y traslados sencillos. Desventaja: Menos opciones de vuelo y probablemente con escalas
