FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lindsay Padgett and Cody Rice
If you don't have a phone number for either of us, you can send Lindsay a quick email at linds.m.padgett@gmail.com with any additional question!
Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both be held outside. We want everyone to be comfortable but also dress in suitable wedding attire. Your casual "Sunday's Best" will be perfect for the occasion! This can include polos, khakis, button-ups for the guys and sundresses or other dressy items for the ladies.

Question

Where can we park?

Answer

There should be plenty of room in the venue’s parking lot but if it appears to be too full when you pull up to the driveway, parking along either side of the road will be just fine! Just make sure you park with the flow of traffic to ensure all guests can leave easily when they please.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

When you RSVP on the website it will tell you who in your family/party is invited. While we would love to have everyone and their dates come, we have already given the caterer and the venue the maximum number of guests we are expecting!

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We're having Carytown Burgers and Fries cater our BIG day. One of our favorites! They offer several sides and burger choices along with a chicken sandwich, and a bean burger option for our vegetarian friends. Carytown uses food trucks so your meal will be made fresh and served to you hot! The tables will already be set with plates and glasses. Simply find a place to sit, take your dinnerware up to the trucks, and wait to be served!

Question

Can the kiddos come?

Answer

When you RSVP on the website it will tell you the guest that are invited in your family, including the kids! Note that the plates and cups at the tables are glass but we will have a stack of plastic options for the little one's at the condiments table, by the food trucks, to help prevent any accidents and give mom and dad one less thing to worry about!

Question

Will alcohol be served? What about smoking, is that allowed?

Answer

Patrick Henry's Scotchtown is a historical site. For this reason, both alcohol and smoking are prohibited during the ceremony and reception. There is a greater liability because of the historical significance of the area and an increased chance of damage due to the age of the architecture. We ask that you respect the space and the wishes of the renter.
