Lindsay- "Cody made his way into Bass Pro pretty frequently during his lunch breaks when he worked at Tractor Supply. I saw him come in and out of those doors several times before he finally came through my line and said, "Hi!". After that day, I spent my shifts watching the clock and twiddling my thumbs waiting for Cody to pop back in when he had some free time. As soon as he crossed my mind, I'd usually see his smiling face waltz up to the cash register and plop something down. We would go through our normal routine every single time. We exchanged "hellos", I'd ask for his rewards card, we would joke around for too long and hold up the line of people that started to pile behind him. Several rooster tails, flannel shirts, and boxes of ammo later, I said "Yes!" for the first time. Cody asked me to go with him to Field Day of the Past, an event held every year in our area. Cody- “I saw Lindsay many times at Bass Pro but couldn’t bring myself to ever talk to her. So one day, I was on my lunch break and getting ready to go on a fishing trip and needed to stock up on stuff in my tackle box. I went on in to Bass Pro and gathered up my normal choice of trout fishing baits, rooster tails. I headed up to the front of the store and scanned for an open register.... and there she was. I cautiously walked on up, handed her my supplies, and said, “Hello!”. From there sparked our very first conversation (and many more) which immediately erased my fears of asking her to go on a date with me. So eventually, I did it! After asking her she paused for a second, smiled, and said, “Let me check... yeah that’s fine!” And so it began!”
On March 29th, 2018 we walked through those double doors at Bass Pro, went through the turnstile and began our par-oozing, just like every other ordinary shopping trip. We made a few laps around the store, picked up.... you guessed it, another box of ammo and moseyed up to the register. We made our way outside and Cody got down on one knee and popped the question!
