FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we have listed here, contact Karen or Paco directly.
Question

Why Mexico?

Answer

It is important for us to affirm our vows and exchange rings with our family and closest friends around us. Since Paco is from Puerto Vallarta and the majority of his family live there, the location was easy! We hope that you will join us in the beautiful Riviera Nayarit to celebrate our marriage.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 15, 2026, so we can have an accurate headcount. If you are traveling from the U.S., please ensure that your passport is valid through your travel dates and finalize your hotel reservation by this date (see the Travel page). We will release all unreserved rooms in our block on June 24th.

Question

Do we have to stay at Dreams Bahia Mita?

Answer

It is not required, but highly recommended. We have placed a deposit to reserve a block of rooms including airport transfers to and from the resort. The resort is all-inclusive (room, food, beverages - including alcohol, and onsite activities and entertainment). We will provide transportation from the resort to/from the wedding venue. We would love for you to come, relax and enjoy your time with us. See the link in the Travel page for more details. Note - there are other room types offered at the resort than what we have blocked. Please speak with our travel advisor (Jodi) as she will be able to advise and add your special room request to our group.

Question

When should I arrive and depart?

Answer

We recommend arriving on Thursday, November 19th or Friday, November 20th and departing on Monday, November 23rd. The minimum stay at the resort is three nights. However, if you have time, we recommend arriving as early as Wednesday or extending your stay beyond the wedding weekend into Thanksgiving week to explore the local area. See our Schedule for wedding events and recommendations for exploring the local area on the Things to Do page.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation has a "plus one" you may bring a guest. If it does not, please reach out and we will try to accommodate as our venue space is limited.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

During the day, the November weather in Puerto Vallarta should be beautiful, averaging 85 degrees and cooling to 68-70 degrees in the evening. The climate is tropical, so a slight chance of rain in November is possible.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place on the beach and reception will be outdoors at the family's beachfront home in the Tizate neighborhood of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please see our Schedule for the dress code for our wedding events. Leave your stilettos at home. The ceremony will be on a sandy beach, and there are grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals that you can dance in :) In addition, there are many cobblestone streets in Puerto Vallarta/Nayarit and paths can be uneven.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

No. Your presence is a gift in itself. We appreciate your time and for choosing to celebrate with us. If you are not able to attend, we appreciate your consideration and well wishes.
