A historic and beautiful wildflower center that you must see! We love looking at the native plants here and attending events that they put on. It's a really peaceful and pretty place.
Barton Springs Pool
We regularly swim in our city's beautiful, spring-fed swimming pool. It's a must-see while you're here.
Pool Burger
A classic Austin spot during the hot months and a favorite of ours! Spend time at Deep Eddy pool before walking up the hill to Pool Burger, which features a tiki drink menu and excellent cheeseburgers! Don't miss Deep Eddy Cabaret, the historic dive bar on the second floor. Pace encourages you to order the "Tradewinds" cocktail when you go!
Sam's Town Point
Our favorite bar and place to dance! If you are looking for an authentic Austin honky tonk bar experience, this is the place. Great country music and the best dancers in town.
Allens Boots
Take a look around this iconic shop and then spend some time walking down Austin's historic South Congress district! We love pizza from Home Slice, tacos from Güero's, shopping at Prototype Vintage & cocktails in Hotel San José's courtyard.
Jester King Brewery
Go here for Hill Country experience with great beer, wood-fire pizza and goats.
la Barbecue
Our favorite bbq joint in Austin, but there are plenty of others to choose from! This is located in East Austin and you will need to get there early. This place is in high demand! Get the brisket, of course.
Butler Pitch & Putt
Nestled just below the river, this Par 3 golf course is a ton of fun & is quick to play! All you need is a wedge & a putter. Food trucks & cold beer on-site! Another unique Austin spot.
Licha's Cantina
This is where we had our very first date! Great interior Mexican food and drinks in the heart of East Austin. You will likely need to make a reservation in advance. Be sure to check out The White Horse (right around the corner) for dancing and music.
Cosmic Pickle
This is a great spot to grab a coffee, cocktail and some food from a local food truck. Or try Cosmic's East Austin location to be walking distance from other bars and restaurants.
Whisler’s
A staple for great cocktails and an East Austin favorite! There is a great speakeasy above the main bar.
