Question

Is there a dress code at the wedding?

Answer

Yes—semi-formal! Think suits and ties, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits. Tuxes and floor-length gowns are totally optional—feel free to dress up, but no pressure to go full black tie.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to headcount constraints, named guests only please. Please check the names listed on your invitation if you have further questions.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to guest number restrictions, we are only able to extend the invitation to the children within our immediate family. Please check the names listed on your invitation if you have further questions.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please note your dietary restrictions when you RSVP on our wedding website. RSVPs will open toward mid July. You have until Aug. 28 to RSVP.

Question

When should I book my hotel?

Answer

We recommend booking your stay as soon as possible because our wedding weekend falls on the same weekend as ACL Music Festival. We'd love to see you at our welcome event on Friday at 10 a.m., but we absolutely understand if you're traveling or working at that time.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have reserved rooms at two nearby hotels. Please check the accommodations page for further details on how to reserve your space. There are also many Airbnbs in the surrounding area, and we've linked some ideas on our travel page. We recommend making a reservation soon because ACL Music Festival falls on the same weekend!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There are plenty of parking spaces at the venue, but please take an Uber if you plan to drink. We can't leave cars in the lot overnight.

Question

What's the deal with this 5K?

Answer

Running has played a big role in our relationship—it’s how we’ve made great friends and explored our new neighborhood. In fact, we’re kicking off our honeymoon in October with Nicole running the Chicago Marathon! That said, there’s absolutely no pressure to run during our welcome party 5K. We just want to share one of our favorite routes, which will give our out-of-town guests a beautiful view of the city. Feel free to join us for a stroll, jog, or just to cheer from the sidelines. Our run will kick off at 10 a.m. on Friday and conclude around 10:45. We’ll all enjoy brunch on Hold Out's covered patio following the fun run.
