Owen and Maya met during their freshman year at Marquette University. After a semester of forming a friendship, Owen asked Maya out on a date in January 2021 and she replied “I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know!” She gave Owen a chance, and five years later it’s one of the best decisions she’s ever made. Owen proposed at the St. Joan of Arc Chapel on Marquette’s campus – a spot where the two got to know each other and frequently visited during their time at Marquette – in June 2025. When Owen popped the question, Maya replied with “I DO know, yes!” Maya and Owen enjoy long conversations together, trying new recipes and restaurants, and spending time with friends and family. We’re grateful to have you as a part of our lives and support network. We look forward to celebrating the start of our marriage with you!
