St. Augustine has loads of great B&Bs, inns, local hotels, and kitchy upscale motels. Try out the local stays! VRBO or Airbnb also have lots of options available. Location note: Many areas downtown are walkable & STA beach is about a 10-15 minute drive (add 5-10 minutes if you get snagged by the draw bridge). There's a super cute area just on the Anastasia Island side of the Bridge of Lions called Davis Shores - it's mostly houses (i.e rentals) and really bopable to downtown.

JAX is the closest public airport to St. Augustine. It's about an hour away and does offer rental cars as well as Uber/Lyft services

Getting to STA from the airport
Rental cars are available at JAX buuuuut it may be worth skipping. This is mostly because you can walk pretty much anywhere you'll need to go once you're Downtown. Downtown accommodations typically provide parking options, but if you decide not to stay downtown it can be tricky to find parking. Parking downtown is extremely limited. If you're outside of walking distance to Downtown, Ubers/Lyfts are recommended anytime you need to get Downtown: street parking, while limited, is available for a fee and there is a large parking deck located at 1 Cordova St. Please note the parking deck is about a 15-20 minute walk to the wedding venue.
