A Glimpse of Us

We’ve been together for five years now, though honestly it feels like ten. From the start, our relationship has been filled with laughter, good food, and plenty of memories that remind us how lucky we are to have found each other. Our perfect date usually involves us getting coffee, grabbing goodies from Hilo Lunch Shop, and hanging out at the park on a sunny day. Dessert is a must — at least that’s what the bride says — and no date is complete without a "quick" trip to Target. ;) When we’re not out eating or cooking, you can usually find us working out, doing yard work, or cleaning the house. One of the best parts of being together is how much we make each other laugh. No matter what kind of day it is, we can always make each other laugh until were out of breath and in tears. When we first started dating, we chose “day by day” as our saying. It reminds us that life will bring plenty of sunshine and a few dark clouds too, and that no matter what comes our way, the best thing we can do is keep moving forward together, one day at a time. Music is a big part of our everyday life. We love Christian music, island reggae, and especially Forrest Frank. Seeing him live, going skydiving, and witnessing the Aurora Borealis are all experiences on our bucket list that we hope to share together. Over the years, we’ve made some incredible memories. Our first date was in Waimea during cherry blossom season, and we got a little too tipsy at Ola Brew and Kona Brew. Since then, we’ve gone ziplining, parasailing, and even taken a hot air balloon ride in Arizona. We’ve traveled to the Philippines, Japan, California, Vegas, Arizona, Washington State, and Oklahoma. We also ran (more like walked) a 5K together on Oahu — still not sure how we survived that one! In 2024, we reached a huge milestone by buying our first home at 24 and 32. Not long after, we adopted a puppy, Hana, who definitely makes our house feel like home. We’re excited to see what the rest of our lives has in store for us — the good, the not-so-good, and everything in between.
