Travel

There are direct flights to STT from the following U.S. cities: New York, Boston, Chicago, DC (Dulles), Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Cheaper options will likely involve connecting through Miami, Fort Lauderdale, etc. The venue has encouraged waiting to book flights until more flights become available closer to the "high season" (November-January), so holding off until late summer/early fall to book. We will be tracking ORD-STT flights and will add any other insight or recommendations for travel as we learn more. :)

Flight

Cyril E. King International Airport (STT)

Hotel

Hideaway at Hull Bay

St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

The Hideaway is where all wedding programming will be taking place! We have the resort to ourselves for the weekend, so guests are welcome to stop by and take advantage of the property. The bride/groom, immediate family, and those with roles in the wedding will be staying on site. There is a pool, Hull Bay Beach right off the property, and The Shack for food & drinks (open 11:30AM-9PM except Mondays). Nomad is a casual beach bar right nearby that serves Caribbean food--jerk chicken, wings, etc. For a more upscale option check out Fish Bar (0.5 miles from the resort).

Travel Note

Getting Around St. Thomas

A nod to Google AI for the below info. :) Note that there is no Uber/Lyft in St. Thomas, and the venue recommends taxis (pre-booking in advance if you can) or rental cars. Taxis: - Taxis are readily available and can be found at hotels, cruise docks, and around the USVI capital (Charlotte Amalie). - Negotiate the fare before accepting a ride, as they are not metered. - Most travelers pay between $8 and $40 per person for round-trip taxi fares, depending on the distance. - Many taxis are safari-style trucks or large vans. - If you like your taxi driver, ask for their card. You can call the company if you'd like to schedule another trip. Car Rentals: * Note: They drive on the LEFT side of the road in St. Thomas! Be cautious of that and the hilly terrain. * - Car rentals are a good option if you want to explore the island at your own pace, and/or if you don't plan on spending too much time on or near the resort. The resort has limited parking (8 spots total).
