How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

Vans from The Westin Hotel will be waiting outside the airport and say "Punta Cana Travel & Tourism" in orange letters. If you do not see a van, you can contact The Westin Hotel at 809-959-2222 for pick up. This is a free shuttle service provided by the hotel - not coordinated by the bride and groom.

Are the hotels all-inclusive?

Answer

None of the hotels in the Punta Cana Resort and Club are all inclusive. The group rate at the Westin does include breakfast. Light bites and drinks will be served at the welcome party. Meals and drinks will be provided at the reception.

What if I would like to stay beyond Thursday to Sunday? Can I still get a discounted room rate if I stay longer?

Answer

Yes! To get an extended room block rate, please email reservationswestin@puntacana.com and include your names, the dates you wish to reserve under the discounted rate, the type of room you need (single bed, twin bed, etc.) and specify in the subject line: Otero Hiebra wedding. Keep in mind that the discounted rate expires March 15th.

How can I get around once I am in the Punta Cana Resort & Club?

Answer

Many things are close enough to walk, but there are bikes and golf carts available for rent. The hotel can also give you a lift to any location within the Punta Cana Resort & Club property!

How can I reserve a golf cart?

Answer

Golf carts can be reserved directly with Osvianny Gomez Calderon via email at ogomez@puntacana.com or by phone: 809.959.2714 Ext 2218. You can rent a 4-passenger golf cart at $80/day or a 6-passenger golf cart at $100/day. To reserve the golf cart, please Osdianny will need the following information: Driver's Name: Dates Driver ID: Contact Number: Room or Villa Number: Delivery Location: Golf Cart Delivery Time: Signed registration documents. Cancellation Policy: If a guest wishes to cancel a reservation, we recommend notifying their concierge as soon as possible via email. If you cancel on the day of arrival, a charge equivalent to one night's rental will apply. Cancellations during your stay are non-refundable.

Which hotel would you recommend?

Answer

For guests staying the weekend (Thursday-Sunday) we highly recommend staying at The Westin resort because it is very central, offers beach/pool access, a cigar bar, dining options and more! The Westin comes with complimentary shuttle services across the property and is situated right on Punta Cana's Playa Blanca. You can reserve your room through our discounted group rate link under the "Travel" tab. This discounted rate is only valid until March 15th. Tortuga Bay is Punta Cana's luxury hotel property. It mainly consists of villas and comes with on-site shuttle services. It's the perfect spot for an ultra lux stay. For those staying longer than just 3 nights, have larger families or groups of friends you may want to lodge with, then you may want to consider renting a private villa. These private villas do not come with shuttle services like the hotels do, but typically offer the ability to rent a golf cart. It is important to note the bride and groom have coordinated transportation for the day of the wedding with the Westin being the meeting point. If you are staying at a private villa, you will need to coordinate your own transportation to arrive at the Westin in time for the scheduled transportation to the ceremony (those staying at Tortuga can easily ask the front desk to be shuttled over to the Westin free of charge.)
