It all began at the Surfcomber Hotel during Miami Music Swim Week—basically the most Miami way two people could meet. The music was blasting, the pool was packed, and the crowd was jumping. Somewhere in the middle of the chaos, Amanda and Matthew were introduced by mutual friends. Although they didn’t chat much at the event, one of Amanda’s friends happened to recall Matthew being a great match for Amanda. She couldn’t really recall who he was exactly because he was the most quiet guy there (lol) - but then, a few days later, the real move happened: a DM on Instagram. Smooth, subtle, and very 21st century. From there, they started hanging out—grabbing drinks, dancing through Miami nights! Slowly but surely, Amanda would get Matthew to come out of his shell. What started as a chance meeting at a wild party turned into something real, genuine, and full of laughter. After several outings, Matthew asked Amanda to make it official on August 11, 2018 after their first official date; and now, here they are, almost 7 years later—planning a life together, one beat (and one DM) at a time.

After six years of building lifelong memories and supporting one another through life's ups and downs, Matthew and Amanda knew that they wanted to spend forever together. Then, the day before Amanda's birthday, the most unforgettable moment happened—Matt popped the question! He planned the most beautiful engagement at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, one of the most stunning places they've visited and what felt like the perfect reflection of their journey together — natural, filled with hurdles, laughter, and plenty of love. Matt told Amanda he had an entire day planned with surprises and he delivered! The day started off with Matt proposing a coffee shop date inside the garden, and that's when Matt and Amanda ran into their first hurdle - Amanda was unable to find this mystery coffee shop and Matt was unable to find the photographer's location, who was anxiously waiting to snap pictures of the proposal already. This was followed by laughs, getting sprayed by the garden's misters, and even going back down the same paths a few times. Until they came across a different path that was seemingly quiet and just picture perfect! Surrounded by lush greenery and blooming flowers, Matt got down on one knee, and Amanda said YES! FINALLY! Many photos were taken and afterwards, Matthew surprised Amanda with a family gathering at The Regatta; where they cried, celebrated and took even more pictures to last a lifetime. It was the sweetest way to start the next chapter of their lives.
