We said yes! Join us in the countdown until we say “I do.”

We met for the first time in a basement college party. Allison used a terrible attempt at a pick up line. Something about finding a good spot by a vent/fan. Alex proceeded to blow that off and leave about 5 minutes later. The following day, we matched on a dating app and started talking again. We officially started dating a few weeks after.

We were living in Minnesota for the 2nd year together and enduring our 3rd winter there. Allison was especially feeling the decreased sunshine hard while working through PT school. So, Alex scoured the internet, finding a pup 1.5 hours away in Decorah, Iowa. Alex did all of the applications and surprised Allison a day before by telling her that they got approved to adopt a scruffy doodle mix. The next day they went to IA, spent 2 hours coaxing the sweet girl to come near them, and by 8:30 pm we were home with our sweet girl.

We were on our Europe vacation in Prague and Alex booked us a photo shoot. Little to Allison’s knowledge he had been making this plan for months. She had a feeling but wasn’t sure that anything was going to happen on the trip. Sure enough the photographer staged the scene having Allison look out at the beautiful Charles Bridge. I turned around and, as Alex says, I didn’t even say yes I just jumped, screamed, and spun in a circle, which he took as a big fat YES!!
