We met online in February of 2019, bonding immediately over beloved video game series (Spyro the Dragon, the Witcher, and Mass Effect!) and Dungeons and Dragons. Knowing we were both of the nerdy persuasion, we opted to meet in person for our first date at a bar in Reno, Nevada, where drinks are served while guests play board games of all types. Funnily enough, we didn't play a single game since we were fully immersed in our hours-long conversation! Needless to say, after a couple subsequent dates that included exploring even more shared interests (and a beautiful gondola ride in South Lake Tahoe), we started dating soon after. A few months into dating, we made the leap to move in together, which was an exciting adventure in and of itself. Then Covid-19 came into the picture, and suddenly we were thrown into lockdown only one year after having met. Our relationship simply strengthened, and we grew to know and understand each other far more rapidly than we might have otherwise. We even added our furry companion Morrigan to the equation (named after a favorite video game character, to no one's surprise)! In April of 2022, Trevor proposed at Lake Tahoe. It didn't go at all as planned, but it was beautiful in its chaos and, honestly, suited us perfectly. We've been anticipating our future together ever since, and we can't wait to celebrate with our loved ones!
