In the wild world of Tinder, amidst cheesy bios and blurry selfies, fate—or maybe a really great algorithm—brought us together. One swipe right turned into the best decision we ever made. We met in person in August 2015, and from that first moment, there was instant chemistry. Karen might say it was his smile. He’ll say it was her sarcasm. But we both know the real test was meeting Eva—Oskar’s fur baby and permanent roommate. Thankfully, she gave Karen her paw of approval. Despite coming from two different worlds—Poland vs. Mexico, suburbs vs. city—we quickly realized how much we had in common. A shared love for music, food, and traveling that have brought us closer and closer together. We bonded over our values, late-night conversations, euro trips that were so fun we missed our flight, kitchen dance parties, and dreams for the future. Over the past ten years, we’ve grown together, laughed until we couldn’t breathe, and cried through some of life’s toughest moments—including the heartbreaking loss of our beloved Eva. May she forever reign as the diva of doggy heaven. Through all the highs and lows, we’ve held each other up, learned from each other, and built a life that feels like home—wherever we are, as long as we’re together.
