How it all began

Nick and I met in the most unexpected place: Chick-fil-A. He was down in Bradenton for work when he noticed me and decided to take a chance. Walking right up, he said, “Hey, do you have a vitamin deficiency? You look like you’re lacking vitamin me.” It was bold, a little awkward, and completely unexpected, but it made me smile. That small, slightly awkward moment turned into an easy one. We started talking, realized how naturally we connected, and before we knew it, a simple stop for food had turned into the beginning of our story. What could’ve been just another forgettable interaction became the start of something neither of us saw coming. From that unexpected meeting in Chick-fil-A to countless memories since, we’re so grateful that one bold (and questionable) pickup line led us here—and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

The engagement

November 2nd, 2024

Nick told me he had a surprise date planned and made me guess what we were doing the entire drive. Horseback riding was my confident final answer… and I was very wrong. About two minutes before we arrived, he finally gave me a hint and said, “Actually, we’re cuddling cows.” And honestly? Best plot twist ever. We spent the afternoon feeding pigs and goats, playing with kittens and dogs, and snuggling the fluffiest highland cow imaginable. It felt like a real-life petting zoo dream day and I was absolutely loving every second. Then Nick led me to a quiet spot by a pond where he had set up a picnic. We hand-fed turtles as they swam up to us (yes, it was as cute as it sounds), and I thought the day couldn’t get any better. That’s when he pulled out a letter and started reading. Before I could even process what was happening, he was suddenly on one knee with a ring in his hand. Totally surprised, slightly emotional, and still thinking about the cows—I said yes.
