Perhaps the best hike on the island, the Ebey's Landing bluff trail is a 5.6 mile hike that traverses Whidbey's western coastline. More can be read at the attached link, but an important note is you will need a $10 discover pass to park.
Located on the northern tip of Whidbey, Deception Pass is a beautiful state park full of kelp-filled coves, jagged cliffs, tidal pools, and an iconic bridge that connects the island to the mainland. It's a beautiful place for short hikes and incredible views, and we really couldn't recommend it enough.
Who doesn't love a farmers market?!? The Bayview market is one of the best in the northwest, simply because it offers incredibly local foods, flowers, and crafts all produced on the island. Don't miss the Bayview Garden, a nursery at the market that's beyond charming. THE MARKET IS ONLY OPEN ON SATURDAYS!!!
Fort Casey is a decommissioned military base on Whidbey's western coast. Though it was originally used as a defensive base in the 1890's, it is now a state park where visitors can tour the abandoned grounds, including army facilities, historic lighthouses, and artillery. The fort is also located close to Ebey's Landing and will require a discovery pass for entry.
