A trip to Santa Barbara isn't complete without a photo in front of the iconic Mission of Santa Barbara! Pack a picnic (and maybe a bottle of local wine) and spread out for lunch at the rose garden across the way while admiring the beautiful ocean view.
One of Santa Barbara's most popular hikes, Inspiration Point is true to its name, culminating at a small summit with gorgeous 180-degree views of the city, ocean, and Channel Islands. It's a 3.5-mile, out-and-back trail that starts at the top of Tunnel Rd. Try to get there early - given the trail's popularity, parking spots fill up quick!
The Santa Barbara Farmers Market offers an amazing variety of fresh produce and a selection of local goods. You’ll find delicious, locally grown fruits, vegetables, farm-raised meats, jams, and vibrant flowers. Check it out Saturday between 8 am - 1 pm at the corner of Santa Barbara Street & Cota Street.
One of the best ways to explore Santa Barbara is just to stroll down State Street! Grab a scoop of ice cream at the famous McConnell's, grab a bite or a drink at one of the many outdoor patios on the promenade, or check out some of the clothes and souvenir shops. The steps in front of the Paseo Nuevo mall are a fun photo op, too!
