Although we love your children, we are having an adults-only ceremony and reception, with the exception of children who are part of our wedding party. If anyone needs help making arrangements for child care, please let us know and we will do our best to assist. Children are welcome to attend our welcome reception on Friday evening!
See the Travel tab for more information on hotels! There are also plenty of Airbnb options in Santa Barbara! We recommend booking early as May is a popular time for people to travel to Santa Barbara.
If you are flying into Santa Barbara Airport, a rental car may not be necessary. It's easy to get an Uber or Lyft from the airport to downtown Santa Barbara, and the welcome event and wedding are both close to downtown (lower State Street). You can also find information on renting a bicycle to get around Santa Barbara here: https://www.downtownsb.org/transportation/bikes
May in Santa Barbara is the perfect spring weather. Expect some morning and evening coastal fog (bring a jacket!), with average daily temperatures reaching the low- to mid-70s.
Our ceremony will start promptly at 4:30. Please allow yourself enough time to find your seat. If you arrive at the Historical Museum early, you'll have an opportunity to check out the museum's features before the ceremony starts! Parking: Uber/Lyft are highly recommended but if you are driving yourself to the ceremony, there is a free parking lot across the street from the Historical Museum (corner of Santa Barbara St. and E De La Guerra St).
Semi-formal / cocktail attire: wear sundresses, cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or jackets and slacks. Please note the wedding is completely outside on a dirt surface, so you may not want to wear heels or any shoes you would not want to get dusty. And bring a jacket!
