Alexander & Allison had no idea that although they grew up just minutes apart, their love story would begin three hours away at the University of Texas. Excited to start her journey at UT, Allison joined a "UT Follow Train" on Twitter and followed Alexander. Though they had never met, Alexander was happy to see a fellow Black Huntsville High School alum and DM'd her his phone number. From there, they sparked up a quick friendship, texting almost every day about classes, parties and Huntsville. Alexander made Allison's transition into college seamless by giving her rides home and even making home-cooked meals. Though they formed a special bond, their lives went on separate paths when Alexander graduated and moved to San Antonio for graduate school. Despite not keeping in touch for over two years, their paths crossed again in 2018. They went out for drinks to catch up and immediately knew that this time was different. They spent every weekend together after this, making multiple trips in the craziness that is I-35 traffic. In July 2018, Alexander asked Allison to be his girlfriend with balloons, flowers and a PowerPoint in his apartment. The next month, they had to face the inevitable challenge of a long-distance relationship when Allison moved to Atlanta for graduate school. Despite the occasional trips, FaceTime calls and texts, Alexander made it his mission to be closer to Allison. The next year, he moved to Georgia and they've been inseparable ever since. Multiple states, houses, and a dog later, their love has only grown stronger. In August 2022, they decided on forever when Allison said "Yes".
