FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal! We suggest cocktail dresses for the ladies and suits for the gents. If you’re searching for some inspiration… Think seaside elegance with a little sparkle. “Classy coastal” means polished and elevated — but still breezy and relaxed. Ladies: Flowy midi or floor-length dresses, elevated cocktail dresses, or chic tailored jumpsuits. Think movement, soft structure, and elegant silhouettes — polished but not overly formal. Light, breathable fabrics (chiffon, satin, crepe, organza, linen blends) fit the waterfront setting beautifully. Heels, dressy sandals, or refined block heels are perfect. Coastal blues (navy, slate, dusty blue), sunset hues (blush, rose, muted coral, terracotta), soft sage, taupe, and classic black are all welcome. Subtle florals and delicate patterns are lovely. Gents: Lightweight suits or a blazer with tailored dress pants. No tuxedos required — think sharp, tailored, and wedding-ready. Dress shoes or loafers preferred. Navy, steel blue, light gray, charcoal, tan, or soft brown tones work beautifully. Crisp white shirts are great, paired with ties or pocket squares in muted coastal or sunset shades. Picture sunset on the water: effortless, refined, and ready to celebrate. Have some fun with it! (Thanks chat gpt for this description!)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we wish we could accommodate everyone, we respectfully request no children as we are already at our headcount maximum! (With the exception for our immediate family nieces & nephew :) )

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We wish we could have an endless invite list! However to ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the “Travel/Hotels” page on our website for details of our hotel blocks. We also recommend looking into VRBO/other house rental options on LBI and staying for the weekend if you can!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a small parking lot at Mallard Island Estate, so parking is available but limited. We encourage you to take advantage of the shuttle if you’re staying at the Holiday Inn or Drifting Sands, carpool, or use a ridesharing service such as Uber or Lyft.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Please feel free to take photos as you like throughout our wedding celebration! Just make sure your phones are silenced during the ceremony AND please please be mindful of our photographers and let them do their thing :) Please also refrain from posting pictures of our flower girls on social media.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Rain or shine, the celebration continues! Our venue has wonderful accommodations in case of inclement weather.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please see the schedule page on our website for the list of events. We will be in LBI for two weeks surrounding the wedding - so if you’re able, please stay and enjoy LBI for the weekend after the wedding!
