Maine has finally lifted all capacity limits and requirements to physically distance in all public settings. We are thankful for this, and hoping this will remain the case by October. We will keep you updated of any changes as they happen!
We ask that everyone vaccinates in time for the event. We realize this is impossible for a select few (ie. young children), so please have them tested just as a precaution before the event. If you are vaccine-hesitant, please get in touch with us and we can discuss this on an individual basis.
Since we’re celebrating so close to Halloween, feel free to augment your typical wedding attire with accoutrements and appropriate additions to our favorite gothic holiday (seasonal adornments, stylish masks, whacky costume accessories, etc.) - these items will come in handy for taking photos later in the night!
We are unfortunately having to limit some of our guest inclusions due to limited space capacity at the venue. Everyone who is included on the invite will be included in the RSVP section of the site. There will also be childcare services that will be offered on location by French's Point. If you would like to take part in this, please let us know!
French's Point is located in Stockton Springs, ME. If you don't live in Maine, Bangor International Airport (BGR) is the most direct Airport to go through, with Bangor being about 29 miles away. For those who live somewhat close, Concord Coach Lines or Greyhound Buses are an option.
There are many great options to stay close to the venue, including several options that are less than a mile away and walkable! Please reference the links below that French's Point has provided that outline the best options. We hope to have the ceremony take place outside, weather permitting. Last year the weather was super sunny and warm, at around 65 degrees. We are hoping for this again, but please be aware that historical averages range from 50-55 degrees. Since we are hoping to be outdoors and will be on the water, please bring appropriate attire to account for possible winds and lower temps.
We are working very closely with our catering company, Trillium Catering, to provide a wide variety of delicious foods that will include at least a few items that are suitable for everyone!
Yes! There is a large area for on-site parking and there should be plenty of room for everyone. There are also several ramps around the Retreat House to ensure easy accessibility for all.
