Question

What if I test COVID positive while in Barbados?

Answer

If a guest tests positive for COVID-19 while in Barbados, they will be contacted by an official from the island’s Ministry of Health to complete a phone assessment of their medical condition. Typically, they will be advised of the mandatory isolation period (10-14 days) and they may make arrangements to complete this in their suite, subject to availability and applicable rates. During isolation at The Crane: The guest will be contacted daily by our Personal Concierge to check on their overall well-being and to ensure their stay is continuing comfortably. The guest is NOT permitted to leave their suite and as such, their entry key card will be deactivated. Visitors are strictly prohibited. They will be issued with a colored wristband in accordance with the restricted movement protocols of the Crane Confidence Programme. At the end of their isolation period, they will be issued with a Release Certificate from Barbados’ Ministry of Health. Proof of this certificate is required before their colored wristband can be removed.
