Redwoods in the city! A very awesome park in Oakland with several miles of great hiking trails. A good place to get your redwood fix.
Muir Woods National Monument

Another great hiking spot, with trails accessible for all hiking abilities! Note that you need a parking reservation ahead of time. Be sure to stop at the Muir Beach Overlook on your way out.
