Why the change in location?

Answer

Well, to keep the story short, it was a very tough call for us to make! Because a good portion of our wedding was indoors, we just could not risk it. The restrictions that the old venue placed on our gathering were too great to make it worth while. That being said, we changed locations and the festivities will technically be held only outdoors so we can safely host our small gathering more efficiently. There will be a ton of outdoor space for everyone to spread out in addition to yard games, delicious drinks, great views, and great food!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

While there is no dress code, we ask that you do dress semi-formally. With that being said, we are not requiring suits and dresses, but we would prefer no sweatpants or t-shirts.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are taking place at The Ridge at Verterra Vineyard in Northport, Michigan. The ceremony is outside and the reception will be held inside a tent and on a patio. It is going to be late August and with Michigan's crazy weather, rain is always a possibility. In the event of torrential downpour, someone will direct you all to the tent (backup ceremony location) because let's face it....we are too pretty to melt!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bride and groom will be taking photos around the venue. Guests can head straight to the tent where we will be serving appetizers and beverages.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. We understand that not all of our family members will be able to make the trip north or feel comfortable in a group setting--THAT IS OK!! Your health and safety is our main concern.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We were not able to reserve a block of rooms at a hotel/motel due to last minute changes. However, we did list a few recommendations in the vicinity. Please refer to the Travel page on our wedding website for more Information and links to those hotels.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! 100% of the Ceremony and Reception areas are handicap accessible.
