FAQs

Question

What should we wear to the wedding and reception?

Answer

We've listed our dress code as "Festive Formal" - think of this like a fun Black-Tie Optional! For guys: a tux is welcome but not required, and a suit would be perfect as well. For ladies: a gown is great, but any long or midi-length dress will do. We encourage both ladies and gents to have fun with it! Similar to what you'd wear for a summer museum gala evening.

Question

We're coming to Charleston earlier than Friday, September 9. What should we do while we're here?

Answer

Yay! We'll be here as well and would love to visit with you. We have a few group activities planned on various days - contact Leo for specifics.

Question

Where should we stay? Do we need to rent a car?

Answer

We'd recommend staying in downtown Charleston! There's a wide selection of hotels, inn, and AirBnbs to chose from and we've reserved rooms at a few hotels for our guests (links are on the Travel page). If you're staying in the city, there's no need to rent a car unless you plan on hitting the beach or doing other activities that are outside the city limits. Most places are walkable or accessible by Lyft and Uber. If you drove to Charleston, there are several parking garages where you can safely store your vehicle for the weekend.

Question

What are your COVID-19 Precautions?

Answer

As the situation varies widely from place to place and over time, we'll continue to closely monitor both CDC and local guidance related to COVID-19 precautions. At this time our plan is to request that you take a COVID-19 test and receive a negative result before traveling to Charleston. We request that unvaccinated guests wear a mask when in close indoor proximity to others. We are not planning to ask guests to provide proof of a negative test or full vaccination at this time. We will keep this page up to date and notify our guests if the COVID-19 situation requires a change to this policy.
