The Pearls

The way that Alex proposed to Sara was truly magical. He enlisted the help of both sides of the family to decorate the family’s small event barn that has been in Sara’s side of the family for generations. He also enlisted the help of Kati, Sara’s best friend and now maid of honor, to help get Sara away from the farm for a few hours so they could decorate the barn, and everyone could hide. Alex had also borrowed a horse and buggy from two separate friends, which he had told Sara he was actually buying both (which was just the cover story). Once Sara had gotten home from Kati’s, Alex asked her if she would like to take their new horse and buggy for a drive, and go back on the family farm. Once they got back there, Alex tied up the horse and led Sara into the barn where it was beautifully decorated. He actually had to steer her straight up to the stage and podium (In Sara’s defense, there was so much to look at and she was in awe of how beautiful it was) where there was a note addressed to Sara that read “Turn around…” on the inside. Once she turned around, Alex was down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She of course said yes! Behind them, their families stood and had been hidden the whole time in the barn. Everyone was very overjoyed and happy! A photographer was there and captured all the moments leading up to it, the proposal, and several pictures of the family afterwards! Truly magical and beautiful.
