Hi friends and family! I am Bryce, the best man, and I am from Antioch, CA. I met Jon in high school and when we both attended Azusa Pacific, I met Jasmine and ended up taking her grad photos! Me and Jon played different sports in high school but bonded through cars and a couple of classes we shared. Going to college with Jon, Jasmine, and the plethora of Cougars in the wedding party, would end up being some of my favorite moments I’ve ever had. Being able to share those precious times together is something that I will cherish forever. I’m confident that Jon and Jasmine would agree given that almost all of the wedding party is from college lol. Jon and Jasmine has shown nothing but love and support to me and I can’t wait to return the favor by representing them on their special day. I am so excited for them to start this new chapter in their life. I am truly honored to have a hand in not only their day but their life as well. Beyond excited to keep making unforgettable memories with them and one day our future babies!

Hello my name is Megan , and I’m originally from Covina, California. Jasmine and I have known each other since kindergarten, and we’ve been close ever since. Growing up together, we went from childhood friends to lifelong best friends, and it has been such a privilege to stand beside her through so many stages of life—including this incredibly special one. I had the opportunity to meet Jon early in their relationship, and it didn’t take long to see how much he cares for Jasmine and how naturally he fits into her life. Over the years, I’ve also come to admire how supportive he is—not only to Jasmine, but to the people around him. As I began pursuing my journey into law enforcement, Jon was always there as a mentor and cheerleader, offering encouragement and guidance along the way. One of my favorite memories with Jasmine and Jon was a day we spent together out at the range. The four of us spent the entire day laughing, talking, and blowing through more ammo than we probably planned on. It was one of those simple days that perfectly captures the kind of fun and easygoing energy they bring to every moment together.

Hello, my name is Horace! I am from the San Gabriel Valley, and grew up specifically in Arcadia, California #626. I met Jon freshman year college, I was walking up to Bryce’s dorm one day and I knocked on the door really hard, and thinking it was Bryce. Little did I know, it was a Polynesian/Filipino looking thang that would open to door (and he swung it open lookin for a fight), mean muggin' me until Bryce let him know who I was. That first time I met Jon. My favorite memories with Jon range anywhere from going to take him to the range over here in SoCal for the first time to playing Call of Duty Warzone in the middle of the night around COVID time. What I admire most about Jon is his ability to get things done and how prepared he is for everything. Also just his commitment to perfecting what he loves to do is just so amazing to see. I’ve seen Jon grow from starting to just play guitar to teaching himself throughout COVID to ending up on the worship team as a guitarist. Jon is one of the greatest dudes I know and he is one of my closest friends that I would trust my life with. I wish for Jon and Jasmine's future together to have a long and loving marriage and I ask the Lord to protect them both physically mentally and spiritually. To my dearest friend, Semper Fidelis.

Hey! My name is Karina and I am from La Habra, California. I met both Jasmine and Jon at Azusa Pacific University. Jas and I met the summer before our Freshmen year on a Facebook page made for incoming freshmen. On my move in day on campus Jas was the first person I saw as my family and I were driving in and she waved at me and I was so nervous and anxious I didn’t wave back haha. However, I redeemed myself later on when I saw her on Trinity Lawn and properly introduced myself. We’ve been best friends ever since. Jasmine is strong, kind, and loyal. She is the calm to my storm at times and I can always count on her to honest and fair. I know I can always talk to her whether she is near or far and I’m proud of all the things she has accomplished throughout our many years of friendship. I’m so honored to be a part of this journey with her and Jon and I can’t wait for all the memories we have yet to make!

I met Jonathan when we were all at APU through Horace during COVID. Jonathan is the main reason why I started to play the ukulele and bought my first Eastman guitar. He is always spontaneous; we would either go to the musical store to check out instruments (we would probably end up buying an instrument, just like how Jonathan convinced me to buy 80% of all my instrument collection) or food places. My favorite moment is when we did a day trip to Vegas to buy the bass and his electric guitar, also the trip when we went to Hawai'i right before my grad school. I am originally from Slovakia, as my mom is Slovakian and my dad is Chinese. I also get mixed up with other ethnicities because of my physique and my passion for rugby. I am married to my beloved 4lifer, Merina Mohalakapua'aloha Shaw-Chen. She is Fijian/Tongan.

Hello my name is Paulina, and I am from Covina, CA. I have known Jasmine since Kindergarten, and our friendship has only grown stronger as the years have gone by. We have shared so many milestones together, which is such a blessing. Not many people are able to say they have gone through many chapters of life alongside their best friend, and I feel incredibly grateful that I've been able to do so. My favorite and funniest memory with Jasmine is a trip Jasmine, Ruth, and I took with her parents to Idyllwild. I recall exploring the town together, admiring the beautiful trees lit with Christmas lights, and taking pictures. We then stopped by her family friend’s home and had dinner together; it turned into one of the funniest moments I still laugh about. Her family was so generous and sweet. They kept serving us shrimp until we were all absolutely stuffed! It was such a joyful day filled with laughter, warmth, and so many smiles I will always cherish. Jasmine has always been humble, generous, caring, genuine, and kind-hearted. Her ability to always see the good in every aspect is something I admire. I wish the couple a lifetime of love, health, and happiness! I knew Jon before they began dating, and he has always been an easygoing, grounded, and highly motivated individual. I believe they will continue to support one another through every chapter of life. I'm beyond happy for you both, and excited to watch your future unfold together! Cheers to your bright future ahead.

Hello my name is Mikey, and I am from Waimanalo, O'ahu, Hawai'i. I met the groom at Azusa Pacific University’s best dorm, best looking men, tip of the spear dorm, Smith Hall! I saw that the groom had a Hawai’i flag, and was playing ukulele, and instantly I knew, this guy was cool. I admire the musical talent of Mr./Officer Oncena. Playing piano, guitar, ukulele, and any other instrument! I hope and pray that this marriage will sanctify them, will make them more like Christ, and that the gospel can be portrayed through their marriage, just as Christ is married to the church.

Hi my name is Mateo, and I am from the East San Francisco Bay Area. Jon and I have known each other since our freshman year of college. We met at our first PIO meeting where we bonded over the fact that we were both from Nor Cal. But we didn't really get close until the summer after our sophomore year. He moved into the campus apartments next to mine and we basically spent almost every day together. He quickly became one of my best friends in life. My favorite memory with my Jonny boy was when he helped me track down a PS5 on Facebook Marketplace and he came with me to get it. It ended up turning into a classic college adventure we won't forget. Jon and Jazz I love you both and wish nothing but the best for you in the future!

My name is Ruth and I am from Glendora, CA! I met Jasmine freshman year of high school in Algebra class. We sat next to each other and we struggled to understand math together. I was lucky to not only go to high school with Jasmine but college as well! My favorite memories of Jasmine and I were just simple days of being together at school. Some days, our friend group would go “study” in the library and end up chatting/laughing the entire time.
